Honey - Lets have another beer....

4 Dec

English Man drinks a pint of beer while his fiancee sinks his van

One last pint of beer cost a Cumbrian man his fiancee as well as all of his worldly possessions including his work van.

Jason Wilson who is 24 just wanted to stay out for another beer. It turns out that his fiancee, Emma Thomason, wanted to go home with her soon to be husband.

Emma became enraged that Jason would not listen to her so she put everything he owned including his clothes and his music CDs, in his $22,000 van and then she drove it into the harbor near their home in Whitehaven UK.

Bob's comments: See what beer can cost you....

The Jason and Emma who already have two children together, have cancelled August wedding, reports the Metro News of the UK.

Jason and Emma had already purchased wedding rings as well as  Miss Thomason's wedding gown and about  24 hours prior to the incident had booked   $4,000 honeymoon to the Caribbean.

Mr Jason Wilson who is now living with friends, said: "'I can't go back to her if she has a temper like that. I can't live with that for the rest of my life - I don't think nobody could."

The first time that Mr Wilson knew of his company van's plight came to his knowledge was when his boss, Graham Wilson, no relation, called him and told him about the submerged vehicle.

Oh by the way - the company van is in the harbor, do you know anything about this....well boss you see I was at the pub drinking and my soon to be wife must have... nevermind.

The van was found 12 feet deep in water. It was retrieved and hauled back up to the shore winches, which had to be attached by a professional diver.

Explain that to the insurance company....

Boss Mr Wilson added: "I haven't had the bill yet. I just hope that the insurance company are prepared to pay out."

Police confirmed that the soon to be ex-wife had been questioned and had bailed out of jail.

Bobs commets: Keep the wife happy guys...and watch the beer
